30th Celebration reprints 30 classic cards, from Base Set Charizard to a 2023 Magikarp. Here is what every original sells for today, how many PSA has graded, and how rarely each one comes back a 10. The originals gem at 0.5% to 62%. The reprints gem at 61%.

The short version. The 30th Celebration Classic Collection reprints 30 cards, and their originals range from $1.84 to $2,783.31 raw. Graded, the spread is wider still: a PSA 10 runs from $46.64 to $79,584.25. The number that explains the gap is how rarely each original comes back a 10.
Pokémon’s 30th anniversary set landed on September 16 with a Classic Collection of 30 straight reprints. Each carries its original set numbering and a 30th stamp. The oldest is the 1999 Base Set Charizard; the newest is a 2023 Magikarp.
Two questions come up every time a reprint like this ships. What is the original worth now? And if I want the real thing, how hard is it to get a gem? We answer both below, one row per card.
The table
Raw is the ungraded price. PSA 10 is the top grade from the largest grading company. Gem rate is the share of every copy PSA has ever graded that came back a 10, from our population snapshot. Cards with under 100 PSA slabs show no rate; the sample is too thin.

* Palkia LV.X shows one 2026 PSA 10 sale at a price far outside its history. We left the cell blank rather than print an outlier. Base Set rows use the Unlimited printing. Erika’s Jigglypuff and Sneasel have no population rows in our snapshot.
The older the original, the rarer the gem
Read the gem-rate column top to bottom and a pattern appears. The 1999 to 2010 cards, Charizard aside, gem at 8.2% combined. The 2011 to 2017 cards gem at 22.3%. The 2019 to 2023 cards gem at 36.1%, and at 51.6% once you set aside the notoriously fussy Magikarp.
Then compare the 2021 Classic Collection reprints of these same designs, which we measured last week. Those gem at 61.4%. Newer card stock, newer printing, and five years instead of twenty-five of handling all push the same way.
That is the whole reason a reprint and its original live in different markets. The reprint is easy to gem, so the slab premium is small. The original is hard to gem, so the slab premium is enormous.
Base Set Charizard, by the numbers
The headline card makes the point on its own. PSA has graded 101,935 copies of the Unlimited Base Set Charizard in our snapshot, and 487 of them are 10s. That is a gem rate of 0.5%. An outside population report read on Sep 21 shows the same picture, at 99,246 graded and 486 tens.
The 2021 reprint of the identical design gems at 59.5%. A copy of the reprint is about 125 times more likely to come back a 10 than a copy of the original.
Prices follow. The original’s PSA 10 sells for about 30.6 times its raw price, $12,275.00 against $401.27. The reprint’s PSA 10 sells for 3.25 times raw, $516.06 against $158.92 in our Sep 18 reading. Same art, same number, two different objects.
Ten of the originals cost under $10
Not every original is a grail. Ten of the 30 sell raw for under $10. Zacian V is $1.84, Erika’s Jigglypuff $2.80, Solgaleo GX $3.00, Crobat G $3.62, and Pikachu $4.34. Buzzwole GX is $4.80, Arceus VSTAR $5.37, Sneasel $6.28, Raikou $6.90, and Genesect EX $8.62.
If the 30th stamp is not the point for you, the original is often the cheaper card. The exception is condition. A 1999 Pikachu for $4.34 is a played copy; a gem is $522.66 and one in three graded copies gets there.
What we do not have
Our own sales tracking holds almost nothing on these originals. Of the 30, only the 2023 Magikarp has tracked sales in our system, six of them. Every price in the table is therefore PriceCharting’s, read on Sep 21, 2026, and linked from each card name. The population and gem-rate columns are ours.
Buy the original for the card, not the slab. Vintage originals gem in single digits, and their PSA 10s cost many times raw. The 30th reprint will gem easily and cheaply, as the 2021 reprints did. Treat this as population data and market history, not investment advice.

Method: population figures are from the SlabVerdict population snapshot dated Jul 13, 2026, using each grader’s ALL row as the canonical total. Only PSA counts are shown. Gem rate is PSA 10s divided by PSA graded, suppressed under 100 graded copies. The 2021 reprint figures are from our Sep 18 analysis.
Prices are PriceCharting levels read on Sep 21, 2026. We hold tracked sold sales for one of these 30 cards and none for the other 29. We have said so rather than substitute a thinner number. Full methodology: how we compute this.
